What a week! How’s has it been for you? I hope that you were able to take hold of the opportunity to serve someone this week and that you are blessed beyond measure! Don’t forget about posting your personal servolution HERE so we can all celebrate with you as we worship God through service 365 days a year!
I don’t know about each of you, but I have loved the series Servolution. Over the past three weeks I’ve been reminded of some very important truths and I’ve had some pretty challenging questions stir my heart. Good Stuff!! I’d like to share one of them with you briefly in hopes that when you ask yourself this question you’re encouraged to continue (or begin) living a life worthy of the name. (Eph 4)
This past Sunday, Pastor Nate stressed the fact that we should be less concerned with telling people what we are against, and more concerned with showing them the ONE we stand for. Go listen to the podcast here. As I thought about that statement this week I was reminded that, as Christians, we are ambassadors of Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 5:20) We are His representatives. Basically, when people see us and how we live they should be seeing a likeness of the one we represent. The ONE we stand for. And then this question came….
When people see me, what do I make Jesus look like to them?
Ouch. Yeah, I cringed a bit with that one. Take it deeper than surface-level. (I can assure you, Jesus wasn’t fair-skinned & red-headed! J) When people look at us what impression do they get of the one we represent and serve? Do they see a Self-Absorbed Jesus? Untrustworthy? Powerless? Unavailable? Oppressive? FAKE? etc, etc, etc. OR do they see Him at all? Do we hold in His light all to ourselves “hiding it under a bush”, or do we “let it shine, let it shine, let it shine”? Can they see that we are about a purpose higher than our own?
Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” Ephesians 6:7 says “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.” See also 1 Cor. 10:31. Think of what life CAN be like when we all operate with this mindset. Serving everyone with all we’ve got, as if they were Jesus himself, and thanking God for the chance?
So, taking what we’ve learned during September, let’s make it happen! God has given us the chances, now it’s up to each of us. I believe that we are and will be the instruments of His change in the eternity of those around us!! No more excuses. We are the hands and feet of Christ in the earth; Kingdom Ambassadors. We will serve with all that we have, making Jesus’ name famous and reaching those far from God! Who’s with me?!!
As you prepare for tomorrow, take a moment to thank God for Pastors Nate & Michelle and their hearts for service, and praise Him for how He blesses us through their leadership. Then, be sure to thank them.Looking forward to tomorrow!

Glorious (Psalm 66:1-2, Psalm 100, Psalm 149 & 150)
When you come into His presence, lifting up the name of Jesus
And you hear the music playin', and you see the people praisin'
Just forget about your worries; Get your troubles far behind you
Don't you wait another minute, Just get up and on your feet and
Get to dancin', singing, jumpin', leaping
Get to shoutin’
Make it loud and make it glorious
Start rejoicing, praising, lifting, raising
Get to shoutin'
Make it loud and make His praise
Glorious
I was created to make Your praise glorious
I was created to make Your praise glorious, glorious
Yes I was, yes I was

Still Standing (2 Thessalonians 2:15-16, Psalm 145:3-12)
You gave me courage to believe that all Your goodness I would see
And if it had not been for You standing on my side
Where would I be
If not for Your goodness, If not for Your grace
I don't know where I would be today
If not for Your kindness I never could say
I'm still standing
If not for Your mercy, If not for Your love
I most likely would have given up
If not for Your favor I never could say
I'm still standing
But by the grace of God
To You I lift my offering and set my heart on higher things
For if it had not been for You standing on my side
Where would I be
I'm still standing
I'm still standing
I'm still standing
But by the grace of God

Sing My Love (Psalm 34:2, Matthew 22:37-38)
Words could never say the way He says my name, He calls me lovely
No one ever sees the way He looks at me, He sees me holy
Words could never hold this love that burns my soul
Heaven holds me, Heaven holds me
I can't hold my love back from You
I can't hold my love back from You
I've got to sing
I've got to sing, sing my love
You would not believe the way He touches me, He burns right through me
I could not forget ev'ry word He said, He always knew me
Earth could never hold this love that burns my soul
Heaven holds me, Heaven holds me
O praise the Lord, O praise the Lord
My soul makes, makes its boast in the Lord

Lead Me To The Cross (1Timothy 2:5-6, 1Peter 2:24, John 1:14, Philippians 3:7-9)
Savior I come quiet my soul, Remember
Redemption's hill where Your blood was spilled
For my ransom
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as loss
You were as I tempted and tried, human
The word became flesh, bore my sin and death
Now You're risen
Everything I once held dear
I count it all as loss
Lead me to the cross, Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees, Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself, I belong to You
Oh lead me, lead me to the cross
To Your heart, To Your heart
Lead me to Your heart, Lead me to Your heart

Give Me Faith (Psalm 73:25-26, Mark 9:23-24, Hebrews 11:1-6)
I need You to soften my heart, to break me apart
I need You to open my eyes, to see that You're shaping my life
I need You to soften my heart, to break me apart
I need You pierce through the dark, and cleanse every part of me
All I am I surrender
Give me faith to trust what You say
That You're good and Your love is great
I'm broken inside I give You my life
I may be weak
But Your Spirit's strong in me
My flesh may fail
My God You never will

Moving Forward (Philippians 3:12-14, Ephesians 4:21-24, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Proverbs 26:11)
Thank you so much for doing this!!! I find I do love the songs you use, but some I am not familiar with. These postings help me so much become familiar so that I can focus more on praising Him.
