Sunday 10/30/11

Hello Breakthrough!!

I hope you are having a great week!  Did you have a chance to serve anyone?  Make sure to visit the Breakthrough Servolution page and share in the celebration!!
I am really looking forward to this Sunday.  We are continuing with week 2 of the teaching series NEXT.  If you missed this past Sunday you can still listen online via our Podcast .  This Sunday is gonna be life-changing...I can just sense it.  I pray for it!
As you prepare for Sunday, take an extra minute to thank God for our amazing Pastors.  We are so blessed to have Pastors Nate & Michelle leading us and helping equip us for the work God has for us.  Praise God!

Sunday 10/23/11

Hello Everyone!
I hope that you are all enjoying your Saturday evening!  It sure has been another beautiful day.
Today was also Breakthrough’s first “Big Day Out”. We had a blast serving our community for several hours as we painted and spruced up the grounds of Fletcher Elementary School.  The most exciting part of it all for me was seeing about 15 of our children passionately involved and cheerfully giving their time and energy without expecting anything in return.   Servolution in action!

Sunday 10/2/11

What's Up Breakthrough?!

What a week!  How’s has it been for you?  I hope that you were able to take hold of the opportunity to serve someone this week and that you are blessed beyond measure!  Don’t forget about posting your personal servolution HERE so we can all celebrate with you as we worship God through service 365 days a year!

I don’t know about each of you, but I have loved the series Servolution. Over the past three weeks I’ve been reminded of some very important truths and I’ve had some pretty challenging questions stir my heart.  Good Stuff!! I’d like to share one of them with you briefly in hopes that when you ask yourself this question you’re encouraged to continue (or begin) living a life worthy of the name. (Eph 4)

This past Sunday, Pastor Nate stressed the fact that we should be less concerned with telling people what we are against, and more concerned with showing them the ONE we stand for.   Go listen to the podcast here.  As I thought about that statement this week I was reminded that, as Christians, we are ambassadors of Jesus Christ. (2 Cor. 5:20) We are His representatives.  Basically, when people see us and how we live they should be seeing a likeness of the one we represent.  The ONE we stand for.  And then this question came….
